From my Secret Santa

Oh my GOODNESS!... I know I keep saying that but I just cant get over my Dec ATC from Pattie. I was so surprised to see three attached ATCs with a beaded hanger. Beautiful and so meaningful to me. The envelope was made as a sleeve out of great looking paper with a frosted tree of fabric/lace attached. Even the inside of the envelope which I didnt scan was wonderful. Oh how hard it is to choose on our double sided paper. I also included a scan of the little tag that was attched to my santa gift bag.

My ATC was delivered by a friendly Elf...known as Al.

Blessings to all of you see you next year, we are off to Arizona in a week to visit family.

Love ~pamela

Merry Christmas to all of you!

No January Trade

I think it was pretty unanimous that we are all very seasonally busy, and willing to pass on a January trade. I would like to throw out a February trade idea of using "heart shapes" in unexpected ways...NOT A VALENTINE. Let's discuss, and please toss in any ideas you have for February and beyond. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday.--Donna

Pattie's Cards are Here!

Look! We have trees to hang our leaves on! A watercolor fall forest for each of us. I'm trying to think of a way I can use my set of cards for a Thanksgiving decoration.

A reminder...send your "secret Santa " card to the name you drew so it arrives by Christmas. When you open your card, be sure and scan it and post it to the blog! Also, January is artist's choice...whatever is making you happy, and mail them to me in California. Donna

November ATC's from Rosie!

Rosie's "Fall" ATC's arrived today.

Continuing the fall leaves theme I can only say it is certainly appropriate for here in Roseville. Leaves are falling like crazy. Love the burlap background with hand sewn silk leaves. I'll be mailing as soon as Pattie's cards arrive. Donna

Sending Posting by email

I was clicking around and found a window where I could add up to 10 email addresses to receive emails each time a post is made to the blog...So this is a test to see if it happens. If anyone finds receivg the posts annoying, just let me know, and I'll take you off the list! Donna

November Trade Images

Hi there 5@ traders. It's Halloween and I have a few minutes, so I thought I would share the cards I've received so far! There seems to a common theme...like Beverley, Pamela and I were channeling the single fall leaf idea. I laughed when Pamela's arrived first, then had a real giggle when Beverley's got here. Can't wait to see Rosie and Pattie's "fall" theme. That's Pamelas' on the top with the green background and beautifully watercolored leaves...then Beverleys' with the creative corrugated cardboard background's and ribbons...followed by mine on the bottom with 2 sets of doors open on the altars and 2 sets closed. Altar stamp courtesy of Rosie at the Ocat stamp swap.

Will post the rest as they arrive! Happy Halloween! Donna

Mail Art in February

I think the mail art thing would be fun, especially since we are mailing stuff anyway. Do we all mail everybody a card?

February Trade

I would love to know how the group feels about a "mail art" exchange in February. I think 3 x 5" is the standard size postcard, and the art has to be mailed without an envelope, so it receives dated postmarks and can have fun stamps. Chime in!

Trading Schedule

Here is our upcoming schedule...

For November we are doing cards in an Autumn/Fall theme. They are to be mailed to Donna in California to arrive on November 1, with an included self-addressed pre-stamped envelope, or put in $1 for return postage. I'll post images on the blog before I mail them so we can all see the cards.

For December make your really special single card for the Secret Santa exchange and mail it to arrive at your receipient's house, or make arrangements to deliver it in person before Christmas. Please post a picture of your gift card on the blog so everyone can see it.

For January we are doing Artist's Choice, also to be mailed to Donna in California to arrive by January 1. Again, I'll post the cards on the blog before I mail them back.

Don't forget to send Donna your mailing address by email, and you will receive an email in return with our 5 addresses on it.

Welcome to 5 ATC Traders

Here is a new home for us to post our ATCs, trades, & information. For now our Blog is known as 5 ATC Traders, or FAT, or 5AT, or 5@... LOL. Got to be in the know for those abbreviations. We are the stray OCATs.
Enjoy posting and uploading your ATC or art images. For now this blog is not set up for wide web searches. It will still be assessable but will not be on the crawl list of web browsers.
